Only in Oklahoma, in a span of 13 days, can you get single digit temperatures, a major ice storm, 80 degree highs, and thunderstorms and tornados! Yesterday for the first time in my twenty year teaching career, we had to take tornado precautions at school. There were several waves of tornadic activity that we were right in the middle of. One hit only two miles south of the school and damaged businesses along one of our main roads, NW Expressway. Another one destroyed or damaged some large home in Edmond (NE of us). The most serious one hit southern Oklahoma and there were 8 deaths. In Oklahoma we deal with the threat of severe weather often, but usually it's April - July, not in February. We are all okay. A friend of our's in-laws lost their home in Edmond. We did have a ton of hail at our house (as you can see from the photos) and Emma kept repeating "snow, snow". Let's hope this storm is an isolated outbreak and not a pre-curser for what type of spring/summer we're going to have!

Up here in KS, they say if you don't like the weather, wait 10 minutes and it will change, but it sounds like down in OK it was a little extreme. Glad to hear you guys are all OK.

Glad to hear all is well and you guys are safe!
The sky looks Nasty in the one picture. That must have been tornado weather.
We are happy to know you are all safe and sound. When we heard the news that morning, we were thinking of your family... good to know all is well. Continued prayers for your safety through the crazy weather... ;)
Emma continues to grow into an amazing little lady... so sweet! I always say this, but it's true... it is really amazing how much our kids change, and how quickly it happens!
Blessings,
Rebeccs BB
